Booking information
You can book this special trip until March 31, 2025 through the button with which you send me an email, or send me a separate email: anna@annarubingh.com. In that email, tell me which room you would like to book and whether you are booking for one or two people. Please also let me know your details, which I will use to create an invoice for you. After joining by email, you will receive a confirmation with an invoice. You initially pay a deposit of €850 (pp). With this you reserve your place on this special trip. I request that you make the deposit within 2 days, because there is limited space on this trip and it is therefore good for other potential interested parties to know whether there is still space and whether a certain room is still available. After I have received your deposit, you will receive a confirmation of participation. You can book this trip until March 31st.
After March 31st, participants will receive a second invoice for the remaining amount. You must pay this amount before June 1st, 2025. The trip is guaranteed to go ahead when 4 people have registered and paid the deposit. If there are not enough registrations on April 1st, 2025, the trip will unfortunately not go ahead and participants who have registered and paid a deposit will receive their deposit back.
If you want to cancel the trip yourself at a certain point, you will unfortunately not receive the deposit back, if you cancel after June 1st, 2025, you will not receive the entire payed amount back, unless there is another participant who would like to take your place on the trip. In that case, you will receive the amount you paid in the second invoice back, the deposit (€850) will not be returned. If there is no other participant, you will unfortunately not receive anything back. If I, Anna Rubingh, am forced to cancel the trip due to circumstances, you will of course receive the entire amount back.
Extra practical information
I have made many trips to the English Lake District and know the area we are going well. This area is fantastic to walk in, there are many beautiful routes. The routes that I chose for this trip are truely in the footsteps of Beatrix Potter. The area around Near Sawrey, where Hill Top is and Beatrix Potter lived and a little further around Yew Tree Farm where we are staying is hilly, but the walks are easy, we do not walk through very steep climbing terrain, they are nice relaxed walks of an average of 1 to 2 hours, sometimes a bit shorter. The walks can of course be adapted to the participants. A reasonably good basic condition is of course good to have, but you do not have to be a trained long-distance walker.
Of course it is not a walking holiday, we will do several varied activities and visits, but walking is a beautiful part of this special trip. And, while walking you see much more, you take in the surroundings much better and you get to places you would not get to otherwise.
In any case, take good walking shoes/ boots, warm socks and suitable clothing. Although the weather is often nice in September, we are in the Lake District and there can be a shower. It is useful to dress in layers, so you can take some off when it is warmer and put some on when it is colder. A raincoat is also handy to take with you.

Food
All meals are included and cooked by me. I love the English farmhouse kitchen that is known for its delicious pies, stews, crumbles, cookies and cakes. I regularly develop, cook and photograph culinary series for magazines, so I am more than at home in the kitchen. I provide a delicious breakfast, a nice lunch and a delicious Farmhouse dinner every day. On the first day I will receive you in the afternoon in the Farmhouse with coffee, tea and delicious cakes and cookies and in the evening you will eat your first Farmhouse dinner of the trip. I am really looking forward to cooking those meals! The rest of the week I serve breakfast, lunch and a Farmhouse dinner in the evening. There is unlimited coffee, tea, water and homemade lemonade available and at breakfast I serve fruit juice and dairy in addition to coffee and tea, at lunch I serve coffee, tea and fruit juice or homemade lemonade and in the evening there is a glass of wine, together with water, fruit juice or lemonade, for those who like it. If you want to drink something else during your stay, please bring it with you.
I cook with mainly organic, with good and healthy products. If you are a vegetarian, let me know in advance, that is no problem.

On Friday, the last day, we leave the beautiful Lake District, to go just over the border of the National Park to the Yorkshire Dales to visit shepherdess, Alison O'Neill. She welcomes us with coffee, tea, scones and cakes and shows us around the farm. We have lunch at Farfield Mill, an old wool mill where, in addition to a museum, local artists and craftsmen now work and exhibit. After lunch the trip ends, but for those who want, shepherdess Alison will gladly take you on a walk through her Yorkshire Dales. (not included in the price)
If you want to stay a bit longer and if you need help with the how and what, I will gladly help you.
